Need help with fertilizer questions please
Hi, I am looking to offer fertilizing to people next summer but I am not sure what kind of fertilizer to use. I was wondering what some of you veterans use, like scotts and fertilome or is there somewhere where they sell special stuff and what is good pricing. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

See your Lesco/JDL dealer, they can set up a program during winter when they are not busy. You need a license to apply crabgrass control--or weed control.

Sometimes you may want time release, but most of the time you can go to the co-op and pick up regular NPK fert and use that. Milorganite and such is good too, for lawns.
The most important thing is to know when and how much a lawn needs and applying it accordingly. If you chose the over-fert 6 step program, be sure it is on over-watered lawns. Constant additional NPK apps during a relatively dry summer will cause dieback due to N burn.
