Whats wrong with this lawn???

So the other day I went to drop off my kid at day care and there was some heavy frost on all the lawns. As I was driving up to the day care house, something about the lawn caught my eye. Couldnt quite figure it out right away so I decided to look at the back yard where the sun was not glaring on the frost. My day care provider has been using a National Company for several years.( I guess there are a few loyal customers still left in this world). Take a look at the pics below and see if you guys can figure out what happened. This national company also serves the 2 next door neighbors so 3 houses in this neighborhood all have the same problem right now. Needless to say I was able to sign up 2 new customers today for next season. Good for me, bad for the National Company

The aforementioned national company burns all the yards the service in our area. They have way to much nitrogen in the mix. I have signed up several new people for next season that I have got from them. I hope they keep up the good work, cause it is really helping me out

Tru Green it is!!!. Both houses in the pic signed up with me today. Gotta love it. Supposedly the tech that put this last app down about 3 weeks ago was new. Not sure if new employee, but was his first time at these 2 accounts. I told the homeowner to call tru green and get his money back on the last application, but he did not want to bother with it. Maybe they should start using drop spreaders and some string/stakes and they could mark out some perfect stripes.

Definitely striped with a broadcast spreader. Some one wasn't watching their coverage.
