how do you start a paving service

i have a friend who is interested in starting an asphalt paving service. he does not really have a way to get on the net so i am trying to help him. any advice would be apreciated,thanks.

i can tell you one thing.try to work for a small company like i did.you learn a whole lot.you don`t need much in equipment.start off just doing driveways i would look into a large skidster,leeboy gas roller and a single screw dump.i used a 1986 case 580E backhoe a ford LA8000 single screw dump,ford f250, and a small lee boy 9 hp roller.start out just doing patch work then start getting into smaller driveways.after about 2 years u can find a used paver and find another dump truck then u can get into doing some big fun stuff
