Fall Clean-Up Pricing
I was just wondering if any body could help me out last season I did a few Fall Clean-Up jobs, I bid some good, bid some not so good, I was wondering if any body had pricing structure besides by the hour. Like say SqFt Pricing system ex 0.003-0.05 or something. or like say 1000sqft $100.00, 2000sqft 2000, 3000sqft $300.0 or any other different pricing structure you have for Fall Cleanup other then by the hour.
any help would be extremely appreciated Thanks |

I try to figure how long it will take and charge $35-$45 per man per hour. I also try to figure in a $50 charge to get men and equipment there. If the leaf pile has to be removed that will be an extra $100+.
Rain and wind have thrown my estimates way off. I also look at sticks and acorns as those slow us down. Theres not a lot of room for error because our profit margin is small Per sq ft is hard because all yards have different trees, terrain, and number of leaves.

I never quote over the phone but I do tell most potential customers that my cleanups start at a minimum of $250. I then go survey the property to get a feel of how long and how much leaves will have to be removed.
Some properties are surrounded by woods so ill usually just blow most if not all the leaves back where they came from. Some properties have little to know trees where I can just go over it with my Turf Tiger and easily suck everything up. Then theres the properties from hell where I feel like I have to make 5 trips back and forth to the dump before were done. Theres too many factors for anyone to telll you what to charge. Come up with a hourly rate and stick to it. I'm at roughly $100/hr but I dont tell my customers that, I simply give them a quote and stick with that.

Per man hour. If they have to have a price, over price it with the understanding that if it only takes 3 hours instead of 4, then you'll only bill for the 3. That's how I do it. Of course you should have done a few before being able to give a reasonable quote.

In our small town area here we are $30-$35 /hr plus disposal fees which can run upwards of $50 or so depending on how much is taken away. We always go to the property, meet the owner in person, explain our services and estimate based on hourly + dispoals fees. Good luck!
