trimmer! not weed eater.

Can people stop calling a trimmer a weed eater please!!!!? It's sounds like a toy and unprofessional. It doesn't eat weeds!! It trims grass and weeds to match the cut of a lawn and obviously we have some larger trimming jobs. I'm kinda sick of it.

It's just a throw back from when the "weed eater" and "weed whacker" brands were such a household names that's what everyone called them.

Don't come to Texas, man. We call anything carbonated a coke. As in, "I'm going to the store to get a coke, you want one? If so, what kind." "yeah, a dr. pepper sounds good"

Yeah, I call it a trimmer around my help and the dealer, but a weed eater around my customers so they don't get confused.

You use the "trimmer" on your grass I thought it was for bushes ;-) The correct name should be "grass trimmer."

Yeah I can't stand weed eater sounds like you eat weeds.
