Unique Shrubs

I have a client looking for unique shrubs for a renovation along the north side of their house. There is a Burning Bush on one end of the 60' x 5' section. Afternoon sun (3pm). I have Contorted Filbert, Lilac (customer request, thinking Miss Kim), Ivory Halo Dogwood, Variegated Rose of Sharon, Ninebark "diablo" so far. Any other ideas? Would like to keep it at 5-6. Going to add some Coral Bells, Hostas and Liriope under them.
Thanks
VO
