Good Price for a 2011 Hustler x-one Demo or a 2008 Super Z

I'm looking at buying either a slightly used 2008 Hustler Super Z (24 HP Honda, 60 inch deck)with 60 hours or a demo 2011 X-One (31 HP Kaw, 60 inch deck) with 75 hours. What do you guys feel that a good price on each would be? I know it seems like a no brainer to go with the newer one but, I like the ride and cut quality of the Super Z more. But, I'm leaning towards the one with warranty.

Thanks for the input!

I'd think the 24\60 would be underpowered, but 5K or so would seem a good price. Idk on the X-One, but I'd rather have it. The exception would be, if I was using it only on my own property.

I've been running a 24/60 standard deck ( I believe 2002 with 1000 hrs.) and it's not bad. vx4 deck may have more drag/demand on it. The honda has lots of low end torque. I have replaced two or three coils already so be ready for that. And you MUST take the engine shrouds off every so often to blow out dust, dirt, and grass. I even run a bagging unit on slopes and it takes it but you wouldn't want any less hp in my opinion. It feels like more torque and equal hp to my 28 efi kohler on a 66" xr7 deck, which by the way is a great engine but gutless. I would go with the xone for warranty and the new deck design.

The x one has the vr4 deck, hands down a lot better deck...plus warranty, 3 years worth of newness, its a no brained.

I agree with Lalawn guy I think the super z is way underpowered. I would go with the x one for all of the above reasons.

Thanks for insight. As far as price, we were quoted in that same 7800 range. Any ideas what would be a good number to offer on a demo at seasons end?

I'd think the later it gets the cheaper it gets on the demos. The problem is if you want the mower, someone else may buy it out from under you if you wait too long for the price to fall, since they are limited quantity. If I wanted it, I'd probably see if I could get him to split a suspension seat with me or something, and call it a day. That's about $700 off sticker, I believe.

Shame that you don't live in Indiana--I bought new (no hours) X-one for 7299 cash out the door.

Wow! I bet that's less than most dealers pay.
