How do I get rid of these weeds?

Hello,

I don't know these weeds are and don't know how to get rid of them.
It makes my lawn look bad when it isn't freshly mowed because it's all unlevel.
Any ideas/info?

That appears to be another species of grass.

Dig out the clumps with a shovel, top dress with good soil and overseed using a quality grade one grass mix suitable for your region.

When some-one here tells you to use round-up, consider that the chemical will kill any-thing growing and you have to wait for the clump to die down. That could take a few days,and it has to be 70 ferenheit for a few days to make it work properly. Then you have to dig out the dead clump any how.

Save your money and just dig it as I have suggested. Then it's done.

Looks like tall fescue. As Dr.NewEarth said, it's best to just dig it out.

Wow, I wish my yard here in drought-stricken NE Central Florida looked that "bad." It must rain a lot where you are as everything is lush and green. We should be so lucky here. Many pastures here in Florida are mostly Fescue grass and look nice considering.
