Cheetah or Turf Tiger? Opinions please.
With price not being an issue, which do you prefer?
Cheetah 61" 31hp Kawi or 32hp Vangaurd Turf Tiger 61" 35hp Vanguard I test drove them today and was very impressed with both. I have reservations with the hydro system on the Cheetah being a long lasting setup. The TT is tried and true but I would like some opinions from those that have run these machines. I have a tiger cub now but just took on another 10 acres and need a bigger mower to go with it. |

Who cares what we think. Buy what suits your needs and likes better. Your going to get half and half for answers along with people telling you why not this brand or that brand.

They're both great machines, and will do the job for you. I prefer the TT over the Cheetah for several reasons, but many here are infatuated with the Cheetahs' speed and the suspension platform.
The only thing that really matter is which one you like best, because there ain't nobody here going to plunk down their hard earned cash to help you buy one ot the other.

The Scag TT is known for longevity, holding its resale value better than any mower on the market, quality of cut, but also has a very rough ride and slower speed. The Cheetah is known for an equally good cut, superior ride, and extreme productivity in large open areas. I would say if you have sizeable areas where you can utilize the extra speed, prefer not feeling beat up at the end of a long day, enjoy either making more money or having more free time to do as you wish instead of what your business dictates, then the Scag Cheetah is your mower.

I wonder if the next several months/next yr model, or so on they will incorporate the suspension in all the Scag mowers? A Tiger with suspension system, would be ideal. I was going to buy the turf tiger this yr, but to late now in the season now, and the drought I have a lot of dirt to blow around right noww , so I will wait for a 2013 model or until I catch the 61-35hp brigs for a good deal, best I've seen was $9400.00 . Never know whats in the works with new models.
