Pros- if there are plenty of construction jobs then you can likely land some hydro seeding jobs. Many of the big guys doing landscape install, irrigation install, sod install and some hydroseeding all in one.

Hydroseeding is very cost effective so it will often survive in large construction. Small jobs seem to be all sod.

The good equipment is expensive. I think about 25K for the smallest unit that is true commercial grade.

Hydroseeding depends on new construction of homes and commercial properties. If you don't have lots of such in your area, you won't be able to make the payments on the equipment. I am sure there are plenty of repos for sale cheap

You also need tractors and trailers for them. You need to do a lot of prep work, smooth grade, rake out rocks, haul in topsoil.
