Anyone using a Stealth Dump with a Fall cleanup Box on it???

Anyone using a Stealth Dump with a Fall cleanup Box on it???

Recently Retired my 1989 Dodge ram Pickup with a 12' box on it. (We're not afraid of anything!) lol Yeah but now we're thinking about converting our gmc 4500 to a dump and just adding a box on that.. We have already talked to our fab guy and he says its gonna be $2500 plus a little bit for reenforcing the pickup bed.

What are your thoughts?

For anyone who doesnt know what a stealth kit it here is an example:

Here is how the truck looks now...Just a different color!

I would want a real dump bed, you will be limited on what you can do with that bed and stealth dump, maybe 2 tons tops and it will wear out fast.

Well we dont usually work this truck until the winter anyway so even if We can use it during the fall too Either way it would be a plus for us.

Our Fab Company says the lift will be able to lift more that 6tons of material which is way more than will ever be able to be in the truck so we shouldnt have any problems there.
I think i might go for it...

Over kill... until its working FOR you. In the winter this truck Plows and sprays liquid CaCl.. Thats where it makes the real bucks. We have a 1000 gallon tank that slides in the bed for the winter and the truck doesnt even squat! Try doing that with a 2500! Any other time its just driven for recreational purposes... We also use it for taking cars down south a few times in the summer. Which brings in more money.. Its honestly a tank in the snow! Nothing stops this truck..

yeah thats a sweet truck...have any pics with the plow on?...also, have u considered putting a flatbed on with a hoist? u could fabricate something pretty awesome for that truck, then it could do all kinds of jobs...

Hahha Yeah a flatbed is nice but then it looks like a work truck, Which takes all the fun out of it! There are a lot of options for this truck but they cost BIIIIIGGGG BUCKS! Just to convert it from a pickup to a "Regular 4 yard dump" is 9k. ontop of its $80k price tag.. A switch-n-go would be nice too!

Could use a Bigger plow...Its only a 9'2" just because we swapped it from a old 450 that we sold.

You can have it. If it works for you, great. As for the stealth kit. I'm considering one myself for a half ton truck.
