Looking for SA Dump Opperating cost
I have not owned my single axle long enough to get a good opperating cost figure. There have been alot of single axle questions in this section lately. Im sure others would like to know too. Anyone have any figures on either per mile or per hour cost?

i have a great app on my iphone that i use called "gas cubby" works awesome with purchase price, maintenance, fuel etc all taken into effect.
I would use it on my dump but the odometer doesnt work :/ I use it on my pickup. as an example, went to west virginia this past weekend with 3 of my buddies. googled it was 800 miles round trip, $.35/ mile from gas cubby, had the gas split before we left.

my 750 gets 6.5 to 7 mpg. just for fuel I'm looking at .55 to 61 cents per mile figuring $4 per gallon. the truck costs $80k new and my insurance runs about 42k per year. then there's the op costs for maintenance.
generally,I charge $75 a load and I haven't had any probs getting that. tandems and bigger aren't getting much more here. |

HOLY CRAP! Please tell us that was a typo.......because $3500 a month sounds like highway robbery to me.
