Just wondering how do you clean a shingled roof?

We use a low pressure chemical solution.. This solution is really the only way to clean a roof.. Using a pressure washer is a big no-no in this service. The whole goal it to remove the black stains (which is a type of mold) without removing the limestone granules. The solution contains algae-cides and fungicides which remove the mold by the roots so your clean roof or exterior stays cleaner longer than powerwashing

Oh woow thanks for the quick answer! I was thinking about getting into pressure cleaning type stuff for like a side type job when the grass doesn't grow so quick and I don't have much work. I'm 17 but love hard work, would this be something that u can say I can be in like a part time thing or do I have to be serious about it?

That's totally up to you. like you, I originally started a landscaping company(which I still run) I would say the majority of my original business came from loyal landscape customers.. You can do as much or as little in addition to landscaping as you feel you can handle

You make a good point. Lets say that I want to do it then like do u advise me getting like a chemical sprayer and all? Or what do you think? Hope I'm not bothering you!

again it depends what your goal is, you can go either the powerwashing route for doing driveways and siding, or you can go with a chemical sprayer for siding and roofs.. Its really up to you in what your going after

Yeah good point. Most people around my are have a black top driveway so doing roofs would probrably be better
