yanmar problem
Running a yanmar 72" mower. Mower fires right up runs great for maybe a hour and then dies. Try to start it weak battery. Let it sit for awhile maybe 30 mins fires up runs for awhile dies. Brand new battery alternator checks out good temp gauge stays in middle. What is going on?

possible dirty or corroded electrical connections. Old seat delay switches will fail and shut out mower when they warm up. fuel pump or filter. A faltering stop or shut-off? Shut off solenoid?

I think he meant coil. When it shuts off and cranks slow, try turning the engine by hand. First see how hard it is to turn when cold for a point of reference.
