2012 Bob cat fast track pro
Was wondering if anyone can me any insight on the 2012 bob cat fast track pro. I mow part time and have only 15 yards mostly under a 1/2 acre and a couple of an acre. I would like to get up to about 30-35 yards and want a commercial machine but dont want to spend 8-9 thousand dollars. I can get the bobcat fast track pro 52 with the fx kaw engine for 6700 ou the door do you think that is a good price?

Bobcat makes a real solid, simple machine. Very easy to work on and basic. The cut on the new decks is decent. They dont do to outstanding in real wet, dense situations (clumping) but cut fairly well. Im a hustler and deere fan myself for many reasons, but i have used about 8 different models from bobcat including the walk behinds, the preadeator pro, and the bigger front mount mowers that they made when they where part of Ransomes. I think that the price is decent for that machine. My dealer wanted 7,200. Check craigslist or your local D.O.T auctions first, especially if your putting low hours on it.

The Fast Cat Pro is a great machine I had it in a 48" deck and paid $5,100. The price you got quoted is high. Personally I feel the hydros are a little weak on the BobCat Fast Cat Pro line up. Check ebay. Dealers in Ohio and CT are giving them away and freight isn't too expensive. I was quoted $256 to freight a Predator Pro.

The fast cat pro I priced had the 3400 tranny and the 691 fx kaw engine with the 23 inch tires. I was also looking at hustler super duty 54 inch with the 730 fx kaw engine but only had a 3100 tranny and got a price of 6000 without tax. Which ztr is a better deal and what other ztrs in that price range would you recommend?

I've heard its a good mower (never used one myself), but if it were me, I would go with the new Gravely ProTurn. There is a picture in the GIE thread. Built for part time pros and starts at $6k.
