What are the best commercial mowers to buy?
What are some of the good commercial mower brands to buy? Including the warranty you get.

What are the best commercial mowers to buy?
Love my toro. Most mowers have 2 years on motor. The rest of the mowers have different warranties. Mine has 5 year 1200 hours. Lifetime on frame. Some have a residential or commercial warranty. As far as best mower, good luck. It depends who you talk too

You will get all the different brands named.
We all run different mowers and all tend to think they are a better mower than the rest. Our company has run wright, walker, bobcat, and scag. We prefer scag, they have been the most reliable and durable for us. Good luck with your choice. Posted via Mobile Device |

scag and exmark and the standard around here, a few guys will run toro's or bobcats, but i have feeling they don't last as long as scags do. I bought a new scag in 05 had a great warranty, never used it, never needed to, it never had an issue not in 1000 hours. I just recently traded that mower in back in june for my second new scag this time i went with a 61" deck over the 48 i bought the first time around. and i went with a 34hp kohl with a carb. and air cooled which honestly will probably never give me an issue.

It really depends on your situation. ZTRs for open areas and walk behinds for smaller areas that a ZTR might have trouble with.
From my experience with ZTRs...I prefer John Deere's. Where I used to work, we had 3 John Deere 997's 72" deck mowers (two were brand new to replace our Exmark Frontrunners). The oldest 997 was approximately 3 years old and has like 850 hours on it. The other two brand new ones are approaching on 200. We didn't abuse our mowers by any means, but we didn't baby them either. The turf we mowed could be pretty rough at times and none of them have been in the shop for anything...and I mean anything -- minus the oil change or flat tire. But to be honest, I think your mid-mount Deere's, Exmark's and Grasshoppers' are quality mowers. As far as the walk behinds, I've never used one, but I hear lots of good things about Scags. |

if your looking for overall price, performance, and sturdyness get yourself a gravely zt hd. It is basically a fully commercial mower, with a homeowner unit price. dont let the price fool you, because these gravelys are WORKHORSES. I have had a exmark lazer and i would rather have my gravely zt 52hd anyday! Had it since 2011, 480 hrs, no problems. I will preach gravely till i find something better overall.

Go with whatever you have the best dealer support, I've heard good things about gravely but there is no dealer support around here for them so I won't get one, from what I've read on here it's different for different parts of the country, around here it's mostly Exmark, Toro, Walker and Scag. may be different where you are.

We love our FERRIS mowers...
I used Snapper Pro, too... I love the quality of the cut and finish they all give... Demo them all and you make the chose for your self.... Around here John Deere, Snapper Pro, and Exmark is what most running...

warranty is one thing, but having a good dealer that's there after the sale is worth more than the factory warranty.
