how to get a landscaping crew full time

i have a lawn care landscaping business we mow a 150 yards a week with 2 trucks and 4 guys busy with landscape work in the first part of season. should i just get a couple part time guys to handle the landscape work until it slows down or just do what i can on weekend and turn down the rest of the work. it dies off after july 4 how can i get more to keep another truck busy 5 days a week and keep a crew for landscaping thank you

interested in opinions to this , I have a similar situation dont want to turn work away but a little leary to hire guys and run outta work with customers cutting back

If your advertising chain ends so will your leads.

i hire em when i need em and when i dont then I cut them loose. I always feel a little bad when I have to let them go but this is business, its not personal.

Im just straight with them and i tell them exactly why i dont need them. I tell them if I get some more calls and i need them i will call.

Right on! And or maybe you need to work (labor) less, delegate more, manage more and sell more. Only you know your bezzness.

Also never ever never turn down work. Ever. Yea, I said ever. If you can't do it or don't know how to do it sub it out to your buddy or somebody else in the business or that has more expertise in that particular area. Did I say never turn down work. Let me clarify. Don't turn down an opportunity to bid on a job. You might not get the bid or want it but it's your job to give the customer that much. My opinion and I'm sure you know this.
