Shindiawia T-20 Wont Start?

I have a t-20 that my dad give me and he said it wont start. So i put it on the garage floor turned on the switch primed till the gas flowed down the tube then released it back up in the tack through a little push button. The thing just will not start. I have 40:1 Shindiwia 2-stroke oil mix in high test gas. Can anybody help me on this?

check for spark, check compression, this will be a good starting point also spray some carb cleaner in the air filter see if it pops on that if it dos you have a carb problem and will need a carb rebuild (not unusual with today's fuel )
