Is this a fair Price for this mower?

Im looking for a cheap back up mower to buy. Found this on CL. I talked to the guy and he said he would take $500 for it. Just looking for some opinions. I never used a Scag before.

Small world I'm in Herkimer, NY about 1.5hrs south east of cuse! Was looking at that same scag but decided it wasn't for me at the time but I thought it was a great deal as long as it was mechanically sound. I've only used belt drives so the fact that its not hydro didn't bother me

Doesn't seem like a bad deal but like the first guy said I'd personally avoid it cause its belt drive. If a hydro one is out of your price range then go for it.

Back up mower it's fine they are just a bit heavier than the 36 inch maneuver is more hard on you
That is one of the best built walk behinds
