I just wanted your opinion on a new hour meter
I have a used zero turn, that I just got it about three weeks ago. It was showing 380 hours when I got it. After I just changed the oil, and was backing it where it goes, the hour meter was flashing with 400 hours on it. So I replaced it with a new one. MY question is,should I run the time up on the new meter, Or just leave it at 0's and If I did sell it,just explain what had happen, and everybody will believe my story! THX

hour meter
Just keep it where it is and explain that you had to replace the meter. Write it down somewhere. Most people will believe you and will go by inspection anyways. I have seen unites with 1600 hours that were in better shape than some with 400-500 so hour meter doesn't mean much, its more about service in my book.
