I'll be doing my first pre-emergent and fertilizer combo app on Monday and I'm about an hour from you. This will be on a property with tall fescue so that's why I'm doing the fert.

Tall fescue in eastern NC will be taking off in the next month or so, see this recommendation from NC State University in the "December thru February" section :

Nice. I tried searching for that but couldn't find it. I fertilize cool season grass as needed in May, September-November. Some guys around here try to squeeze in one more in March so they can get to cutting sooner.

We started mid January. We should be done with round 1 soon.

Started this wee. It's been so wet here I wish I had started earlier.

I think next year I'm going to start treating my current warm season in late janurary in hopes of not getting behind

I completed most of my clients today. Timing was perfect because the snow will help to water it in. Over 200 bags we set out today. I'm a little sore.
