What do you think on this bid?

The company that mows the front yards in my neighbor hood charges 2,0004 a year for common grounds and 8$ per yard, is their any profit if I under Bid them and tried to take their place next season? They do horrible never have sharp blades and always scalp the yards.

69x$8=$552/8hrs=$69/hr

so they are making $69/hr and paying 5 guys?

if you pay the guys $10/hr you are making $19x8hrs=$152 a day then you subtract expenses.

not very good if you ask me.

I think he's including the common areas which is either 2,000 or 20,0000 per year because the first post wasn't clear.

A 5 man crew for me would produce between $1200 and 1800 per day.

In my opinion I think you should leave it be , for a couple reasons , one price to me sounds way to low , and two you live there????? Really people will be knocking on your door ever time they have a complaint , you buy a new truck then the HOA will want you to mow them for $6 a yard cause obviously you are making to much money off them ???? There is alot of variables missing from your equation but I would stay as far away from this as possible , mixing personal and business a bad idea. My opinion at least , but good luck.
