I think I started a thread on cheat ID & control. From what I can tell it looks like cheat to me but don't claim to be an expert. The only chem I could find with it on the label was simazine. Someone suggested gly on dormant bermuda, which where I am dealing with it primarily.

I have never seen this before in any of my lawns. This year, I have more than my fair share of it. I can not find it on any labels either. I am going to try different chemicals in small areas until I find something that works on it.

Is this a joke? Please tell me you're kidding.

This cheat is popping up all around us. First year I ever remember seeing it like this.

I guess it is a combination of the long cool temps and the 20 inches of rain we have had the last 2 months, but grassy weeds are terrible this year. Cheat grass, Little Barley, some barnyard, fescue clumps.

Yes the weather has been a factor. I haven't been applying that long but I realize I would rather have the last 3 drought years than the wet ones. Most of my customers have irrigation BTW.

I guess this cheat is something that not many have to deal with. But I have noticed it growing in wild areas since coming across it on one of my properties.

I think I see the two long spines on each seed. We don't have it around here.

You really should include a coin or something so you can get some size perspective. And no, doesn't look like poa. Seed head looks different and larger.
