Off topic but if that were true why would the EPA force water utilities to dechlorinate tap water prior to dumping it in the environment.

You can mix oxy-clean in water for a similar (but much more expensive) effect. It isn't as harsh on plants.

Bleach is eco-friendly when used properly. Educate the customer that they won't be able to afford a slow, inefficient, "no-more-eco-friendly-than-bleach" product to be used. Those other products will take you 4-5 times longer, increase labor and chem cost, run GASOLINE burning engines longer etc. Not really eco-friendly at all. The only folks claiming it are folks selling a competing product.

If grass/plants are killed it is not the product but the method in which the product is used. 13 years of using 12%, have not killed any grass during a basic vinyl siding cleaning. Just gotta educate them as well as yourself. I hear the crap daily and after I educate them, they want a glass of it to drink.

Now that is a good answer. Glad someone put it out there. Thanks

Completely agree with Michael here, if bleach isn't eco friendly why is it used to treat water? Anything used wrong can be dangerous. That's why people should hire trained professionals who know what their doing in their field and know proper use for their equipment/chemicals.
