Toro 30"

Have any of you had experience with this mower?

http://www.toro.com/en-us/profession...sid=turfmaster

Looking at a smaller mower to replace my Craftsman 21". My local Home-depot sells the commercial version, and it seems to be a solid machine. Is it wort the price? I don't want to spend a lot because i will be using my 36" toro more. I just need something like this that i can maneuver easy in really tight spaces. I could always buy a Honda for $600. And I don't want to spend more than or close to $1000 for one like this. Not sure of the price but i know its not more than $1500

There are two versions out there. The Briggs is the homeowner version and the Kawasaki motor is the commercial version. There are a few post out here on the differences from the members of LS.

The homeowner version is much lighter and easier to use

I believe the Home Depot around me sells the Kawi engine version for $800. I want something easy to use too. My 36" walk behind is great but in tight spaces this may do the trick when my 21" is too small. My 33" walk behind is easy to handle but the stopping mechanism is funky to make it stop quick. Just was unsure of the quality cut, and how good the mower actually was.

HD carries the homeowner version with the Briggs engine.

Well when i was there last time, i went over and looked at it, and it had the Kawi engine on it. And it said commercial on the engine itself, which is what really caught my eye

Perhaps Toro has begun putting the Kawi on the Timemaster. Would not think they would sell the Turfmaster at a box store.

I will check HD's website to verify.

Thanks for the heads up.

I just check HD website and both the models they had were Briggs engines, but i know when i went to my local HD it was a kawi engine, and they wanted $800 for it. Might have to make a trip to one next time I'm close to one of their stores. If i think about it i will post something on this thread if it has a kawi engine
