toro version of the navigator

i went to northern green expo yesterday and stumbled across a toro version of the exmark navigator. it was the same except the decals and gray rims. no one knew nothing about it. but since i have a navigator i knew what has and hasnt changed. why is toro painting their rims a different color than exmark? also their plastic is darker than exmark. to me it looks ugly

I had been told they were releasing one, but I haven't seen any details about it on the web. I fiqured that it would pretty much be a direct copy of the navigator. Walker is switching to a darker hopper as well.

To differentiate the two brands.

Whoa! This thread caught my eye.... I run Walkers but I have tremendous respect for both Toro and Exmark... Apparently, Toro made a bagger back in the day.... and so didn't Bobcat, Scag, and Encore maybe? Anyway, there must be enough of a market for Toro to put one out again... I am interested to see it...

Identical to ex mark except gray wheels and dark gray plastic where the exmark has light gray. Its not like the ztrs where that have the ultra cut vs turbo force. I just wish they would make more decks or let the walkers fit on theirs

The Bobcat one goes away then comes back and goes away again.

I think Toro used to have one of these machines in the past: http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?t=210852

And now they are coming back?

Its not even close that. Has a white tub and dark gray wheels and feather touch controls. I tried one of the old toros several years ago.

bobcat and scag (the cougar I think) made something that LOOKED like a walker...but these had to be very different than the walker at the time, because of patents that were still valid.

They did not do well because they were almost twice as expensive as their own companies other mowers and nothing actually like the walker.

They did not have removable decks and couldnt take other attachments, Certain walker patents have since expired, bringing about the Navigator.

the navigator is 150% a better mower than walker, many improvements.

However walker is still over all better because of the implements and support and after market toys etc... over all more versatile better machine.

But Navigator is the better mower...

IF you JUST need a GHS style bagging mower. Get a Navigator.

if you want it to do everything maintenance grasshopper and walker are still kings.

HAHAHA good find!!!
I just found that same pdf and was going to post it on here somewhere, but you beat me to it!

Toro 8000 series! Im looking forward to seeing one for myself in this next year. 2015 was going to bring another Walker anyway, but this mower may be what I'll lean toward instead since I don't use my Walker to its full mini tractor potential and I am a huge Toro fan.
