Exmark and Toro slit seeder and aerator

So I am researching slit seeders and aerators. I was drawn to the Lawn Solutions models but they have obviously moved on and are now a part of Exmark I believe (correct me if I am wrong). So I went to my local Exmark dealer and he said he had never heard of them although they had them in Toro, he looked in his Exmark catalog and low and behold there it is. So my questions are...

1. what is the difference between the Toro models and the Exmark models? are they both the old lawn solutions units?

2. prices were exactly the same. $3899.00 which seems high. Has anybody recently bought either of these and if so what was your price if you don't mind sharing.

3. can anybody give feedback between the Toro and Exmark in field conditions?

Thanks in advance.

I did look at the Exmark over seeder but decided to buy a Billy Goat over seeder. I believe it is better seeder than the Exmark. I would bet that the Toro & Exmark are nearly identical as they are built on the same production line.

are they? I was wondering about that. I hadn't considered the Billy Goat. Are you happy with it? I'm curious why you think its better?

The Billy Goat has enough power, variable hydro drive and the disks are made such that they dig a nice groove, but don't dig up all the thatch. Another bonus is that the seeding head floats a little bit.

Have you owned a toro, or a exmark? If you haven't how can you say that the billy goat is better?

I was basing that on the design features of the Billy Goat. The floating feature of the seed hopper and the design of the spinning disks.
