a yrd of of mulch /a yrd of topsoil
just wondering what you guys charge to spread mulch and topsoil
My friends tell me $75.00 a yrd for mulch. $100.00 a yrd for topsoil is this accurate. why not a $100.00 yrd for mulch also ,or is that $100.00 a yrd seeded/Fertilized/topsoiled PER YRD. any info would be great.

That price is fairly high.
With only paying around $25 per yard for mulch, and $15 for topsoil, that leaves spreading labor rates fairly high. I don't think those prices would get much attention around here, but for comparison depending on the mulch type, I'll install one yard for around $65, and topsoil for around $50-$55 depending on where in the yard it's going, and how many yards at a time. Just some refernece though. if you can get those prices, all the more profit though!

$35 to $55 for dark double shred installed, Add $10 more for color mulch to cover cost. $50 to $75 for double screen topsoil. The price depends on what you paid for it and the value of the house you are working at. The higher paying jobs get it put in by hand, lower get put in with a pitch fork. Looks nicer by hand. Forks are faster.

Around my way, $75/yd includes nice hand edging and weeding and installation. Any less than that, and your not going to make any money.
