Flower pot soil
I will be doing a job planting lots of annuals in flower pots/window boxes. What does everyone use for soil? I normally use Miracle Grow potting soil with good results. I was thinking of filling the pots halfway with topsoil (mixed with compost) an mixing perlite to keep it loose. I would use the potting soil for the top half. I'll be planting marigolds, petunias, begonias, etc. Also where do you purchase potting soil in larger quantities? (more than 4 or 5 bags) Thanks Matt

I find that while the Maracle Grow is good potting soil it is just to expensive to use and cuts into my profits. We use regular potting soil and then add a slow release fertlizer for the flowers (such as Maracle Grow) and they do good.
