I have an L110 and the auto tranny is nice, but the machine is slow. It has a 42" deck and my eXmark Metro 36 will cut a lot faster, even if I keep a normal walking pace.
The L110 is a nice homeowner mower, but it's not really fit for an LCO, even for a jumpstart mower in my opinion.

The saying comes to mind, "you get what you pay for".
The garden tractors can hold up to the abuse of day to day mowing, especially the liquid cooled models, gas or diesel.
