good luck with that

Man it takes so much knowledge in landscaping, what plant needs full sunlight part shade amount of irrigation, tolerance to frost and drought are just a small part of things you need to know and understand. Its hard to just jump in and start up a business like that unless u really know what you are doing. I have had my business for about a year and i still learn stuff all the time. I first started with lawn care and i am slowly getting into landscaping as well. If i were you i would try to learn as much about the industry as possible, getting a job at a nursery or for another company first before you start spending money. Good luck.

Trying to figure it out

I started with a 22" mower, handheld blower, and a Ryobi weedeater. Most of the yards I did were for people that were just too lazy to do it themselves. I've been in the business for 3 years now and I've got better yards and pawning the weedy yards off. I've got a Bobcat 48" WB, a Redmax Blower, but still using a John Deere Weedeater that I inherited a couple of years ago (need to upgrade that one, just too cheap.) I hope to learn more about the landscape design part and I've had the opportunity, but don't know how to bid it. Usually, I'll give that piece to someone else and get a finders fee off of it.
