I will probably be able to go look for myself in the next week or so, but wanted to know a little more about them.
I believe the largest engine on the Chariot 52" is a 25hp Kohler and the Chariot Jr. 52" has a 23hp Kaw.
What are some of the other differences or pros and cons to buying one over the other?
What kind of price have you seen on the 52" Chariot 25hp and Chariot Jr. 23hp models?
How do you like the cut and do they make a bagger for either model?
Thanks for any info.
The differences between the two? Have you looked at a flyer about them?
The jr has a hand lift on the deck as shorter and narrower, with the controls located under the front edgeof the seat.
The chariot which is the one I bought, has a foot operated lift, is longer, wider, and alot smoother riding, with all the controls convieniantly located to the left of the seat.
I personally like the bigun better myself I got the 61" cut 25 hp kohler, parts are more redally available here for the kohler. I got mine for 6950.00, plus tax, with full new warrenty.

Naturalawn,
Thanks for the info. I don't have a brochure, but will pickup one up when I go down to the dealer.
I had just started calling around for a ztr and found out that my closest dealers carry Great Dane and/or Exmark.
He had mentioned the Chariot and Chariot Jr. to me on the phone and I just was gathering some more info before I go there.
Did you compare other ztr's like Exmark to the Chariot when you were looking? I was just wondering what was the deciding factors for you were to choose Great Dane?
Thanks

The exmark dealer is over an hour away, and thats if you dont hit traffic, or construction. With having to go through Branson Mo. you will either hit one or both.
It has taken ambulances over 3 hours to get there on transfers.
The only dealers in town are Great Dane and Snapper, other G.D. dealers30miles west and one 50 miles east. My dealer can have any part the next day if it isnt in stock, and he said he would either loan me a mower or help me get caught up! With 3 dealers in the local aera 2 of which I have done bussiness with, I thought local severice was as important as anything.
However the only thing I didnt compair to as in sitting on the machine and demoing it at the dealers, was the dixie chopper and the ferris. I looked at so many mowers it made my wife mad she finally said get the #%*(^& thein and shut up! Jim
