Uneven Idle on Lawn Boy

I'm a newbie here. I love the site.

My problem is with a Lawn Boy model number 10247. The idle is uneven. Keeps reving then dropping, reving then dropping. When I start it it revs way up and then drops back to almost a stall. I would think govenor if it were an older model, but I can't seem to find one on this mower.

Any ideas? Appreciate the help.

I don't know much about the lawnboy line although I have worked on a couple a few years back and they have a air vein type gov. system thats under the blower housing, It could have grass build-up on it causing it to hang up, If everything looks good and is moving freely I would lean towards a carb. problem. (trash or water)

I have 3 Duraforce LB's. They have a very sensitive carb on them. I would clean it out really well. I have one that surges at idle but smooths out once a load is put on it.
