i think all aquascape pumps are JUNK! This year alone I have had to get 6 replaced. Sure they replace them for free but you still have the hassle to go and swith them out, the shipping to send them back, and they usually take about 3 months to finally get the credit through

gfi's can go bad over time. I have had a few go out.. replalced them and the pump works fine.
but i still think your pump is/was bad
