How much water after overseeding?

I am planning to overseed my KBG lawn in the next week or so. I plan to aerate (shallow) let the turds dry and then reseed the following few days. My question is this, I have an irrigation system but how much water do I give the seed? Should I set it to run 10 minutes a zone 3 times a day, 5 m x 6 times??? I'm just not too sure what is adequate.

Any advice?
Thanks,
Joe

I think the rule of thumb is, keep the top 1/2 of the soil wet as much as possible until germination. Which means you'll have to water 2-3 times a day. After germ. then you can cut it back some.

Must still be able to walk on area! Keep the top .5 to 1" of soil wet, DON'T let the soil dry out!

Once germination occurs, reduce frequency, increase time, water deeper, and as roots go deeper, plant gets establish, start letting soil dry out
