Hello,
I'm new to this forum but have been very impressed thus far. At the advice obtained here, I bought Lesco brand at home depot. I noticed that it contains less Nitrogen and more Potassium than Scotts. What are the advantages/disadvantages to this? A second question is whether a "4 step" program of granular is sufficient. Are more steps/treatments needed? Lastly, are there advantages to mixing-in liquid applications--if so, where can I buy large enough quantities for 1 1/4 acres (I have a ride-on tractor and would be willing to invest in a tow-behind sprayer if needed). Thanks for the help! Rick |

Re: if you
go with scotts, it all depends of which bag of step 1 you bought. their are 3 steps 1's out right now, one has 32-6-10 another has 25-3-4 and another has 21-4-3. i could be off afew on these #s but they are about right. it all depends on if you want a greener lawn, thicker lawn or a stronger lawn. yes the #'s mean something. but i would say scotts is the best.
