Anyone else try/using Sluggo (brand) Iron Phosphate snail bait. research shows it's non toxic to birds/fish/pets/people - but it kills snails/slugs.
I tried some over the past couple weeks on my route - it's easy to apply (don't have to worry about gloves/masks as with Metaldehyde). It seems to work OK, but needs to be reapplied every 2 weeks - only takes a tiny bit (1 tsp/sqyd. The pellets seemed to get moldy where I dumped it on. Bought some at Home Depot for about $5.00/lb ($12.50 for 2.5 lbs) - and I've found a place that sells a 50 lb bag of SLUGGO for $87.50 plus UPS - they're in Petaluma, CA. Anybody know of any other distributors that sell 50/100 lb bags? Thanks!

No, it's not.
Bug-Geta has 3-4% Metaldehyde - see: http://www.ortho.com/content/product...s/2420NV4R.cfm Sluggo (also sold as WorryFree & other brand names) contains Iron Phosphate. I want to use it, but the "consumer packages" are SOOO darn expensive! United/GreenMark & Hydroscape don't carry it at all, Ewing only sells the 2.5lb container. (Landscaping suppliers/distributors.... make a note!
