whats the best skid steer...
i was wondering what is the best skid steer for landscaping size and every thing. also has a resonable price.

You're going to be a little more specific... what size of machine are you looking for? What reasonable price are you specifying? (<75k?
 ) I would give the first suggestion that comes to mind, but I'm afraid you'll have to be a little more specific in what you're looking for before someone can give you a factual opinion.

well we will use it for building rock walls, ponds, snow removal, lawn renavating, bark mulch, trees, brush clearing. we might do more but not sure.

Do you know what dealers are around your area? If you have a dealer in the area with a good reputation then go and see if you can get a demo of the brand he sells and see what type of deals he's offering.

zim bob, Scag does have a valid point... a search of these forums will unearth a multitude of threads on the "What skid steer to buy" question.
However, if you have a specific model you're already considering, or if, as Rob mentioned you have a preferred dealer, you're already off to a good start...

In my book: Case, Cat, Bobcat & Mustang all have solid reputations. I'd tend to search the marketplace and when something catches your eye ask some questions here about the particular machine. I stick with Cat for pilot controls, service and re-sale.

my own opinion
ok well i like the 247 myself (when ours actually works lol) its small enough to get into tight spaces but big enough to handle good sized loads....it even loaded our double tandem so u have the reach
as for the controls,u just can't beat them....alot better than our old deere 230 i HATE the old foot controls after useing a cat so for someone newer to equipment like yourself its easier to get used to its entirely up to u...browse through a few if yer allowed (i know yer young) test them out if ur allowed to and get a feel for each unit, u'll know what one you want cuz it'll feel natural don't let anyone force you into buying its your money and your investment i don't like running a piece of equipment i don't feel comfortable in just my 2 cents
