Washington Hawthorne Tree

I have a couple of Washington Hawthorne tree's. Does anyone know anything about these things? When I look up at the tree's it seems like the thorns don't grow very far up the tree. If I can get rid of the branches that have thorns I might not take the tree down. Does anyone know if they will grow back. Thanks

What do you mean, "When I look up at the tree's it seems like the thorns don't grow very far up the tree." Do you wish to remove the lower branches because they are in your way, yes you can do that. If you prune them close to the trunk, they should not grow back. Check this site for some information.
