weeds are growing fast, any suggestions?

A lot of weeds are growing in my backyard that's incomplete. Should I ignore it or kill it? The excess rain here in Oregon keeps them growing even if I kill it. Any ideas or suggestions?

My house has about 15 air vents as you can see from the enclosed photos. What is the difference with the vent being opened or closed ? Am I suppose to close the entire vent during Winter in order to keep the house warmer? And open them all during Summer to keep the house cooler?
Thanks for your help.

yes, the vents are to "vent" your crawl space during times where it is warm enough to do so. But the vents should be closed during cold times so that any pipes in your crawl space do not freeze. At least that is how I handle mine....

If you are at the stage of "leveling" your yard, that means you will be ready to establish your lawn, soon. Do NOT disrupt any of the soil with weeds in it UNTIL you spray. Most of these weeds will just replant, as well as spread more seeds. Inevitably, you are going to have more weeds grow anyway, becuase you will be exposing thousands of new weedseeds already in the soil, but atleast give your areas less of a disadvantage of having that many more weeds taking up space. Invest in some glyphosate, because ylu will be using it here, shortly - for a couple of things.

Thank you, Dad - for always being the dad that you were. You truly are my hero. You always were.

if you identify what weeds you have i suggest using a systemic herbicide so you kill all of the root .
