What is the difference between the 8000 and 9000?

Hello, we are considering purchasing a blade sharpener/balancer but I cannot find a direct comparison of the two models you offer. Is there a page I can view for this?

Hello,

You are correct, we do not have a comparison between the two directly.

The main difference is function - the MAG-8000 can do the curved edge mulching & and conventional blades where the MAG-9000 will only do straight conventional cutting edges. The other major difference is the MAG-9000 has a 1/2 HP motor and the MAG-8000 a 1 HP motor. The HP increase on the MAG-8000 is there for "employee resistance" since the MAG-8000 is more often in a "servicing dealer" environment, in other words the extra torque is for rough employees.
