Yucca Plants
anyone know a good way to kill yucca plants? I have a customer that wants a bunch of work done and one is to kill/remove yuccas from bed area and then restore the bed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When I bought this house I had Yucca plants everywhere. It was war I hate the things. Anyway, I used roundup (off label use I think) then dug up as much as possible. Often the plant would sprout again, and I repeated the procedure. I have been yucca free except for the one between ours and the neighbors yard.

The roots are really soft. The way i have found that works best is to cut them off at the ground level and then, either till or drill wholes in the truck and pour straight round up into the whole. If you have a lot of other plants around it or don't have a tiller, beat the living H ell out of it and most likely it won't come back.
