Question Question Walkway vs. Draining Water

Good Evening folks. I'm up in NewHampshire and thank god spring has finally rolled around. New potential client called and asked me to 'fix' his walkway. Took a look, and its heaved just about its entire length. The walkway is approximately 13 years old. It runs from a garage/office to the main house. The house sits at the bottom of a hill, so the entire front of the property drains right down and sometimes over the walkway. Theres a drain, it gets some of the water but the rest of the soil stays damp. At any rate, how do i fix this this thing assuming i'll be tearin it up, and have the 'go ahead' to dig down as far as i need and bring in all and any materials necessary. I've gotten some pretty decent suggestions, my only goal is to do the just how it oughta be done. thank you. John
