60" Super w/b ???

OK, measured some areas today.... Wondering when that bad boy 60" w/b will be ready to "Cut 'em high & let 'em fly!" ???

(Thanks for the info. and photo Switchless)

Curious... Other than being on the heavy side (understandable), the Super w/b overachieves in every area except blade tip speed... Is there a reason the blade tip speed is not at the top end of the spectrum (19,000 or so) ???

Thanks, Clay

As to blade tip speed. If you will notice, the machines that get up near 19,000 fpm are 60" cut and above. The reason for this is the blade length. Most decks are spinning the pulleys at the same rpm, so the longer the blade, the higher the blade tip speed.

We could go to smaller pulleys to achieve greater blade tip speed, but that means more bearing wear, and more belt problems.

Clay Sound like you need to go with the 54 " then add the Flex-Deck for a cutting width of 72" Bad says the deck is an easy fit on the Hustler and now that they have enough HP, That might be the way to go.

60" w/b

When will the 60" w/b be out? I have to have time to put a Flex-Deck on it. What do you think 78" cut 27 or 28 hp man I've got three hills and a cemetery screming for it.

I know this is an old thread and I hate dragging out old threads as much as anyone.

But what ever happened to the 60" super Walkbehind?

Remember this?

http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.p...hlight=Hustler

The original super WB announcement had the 60" listed. This would have been the mower to go head to head with exmarks 60" TT and ferris and scag and the others.
This past winter there have been several threads about 60" WB and Hustler missed out.

How about this?

Take the super WB frame, put the genII h-bar controls from the trimstar on it and put the 60, and 66" xr7 decks on it. Bring back the sit down sulky or make a sit/stand castored sulky and you have a WB,stander, and rider all in one. The BIG engine and tires of the super WB would be perfect for this.
just some thoughts.

I just can't understand why Hustler would give up on the super WB line.

If Hustler wants to offer a complete professional line up how can they not have a 60 inch W/B? I have 4 Exmark Turf Tracer 60 inch WB's. I'd have bought Hustler but they don't offer them. Listen to the users.

Is there any chance of a 60 inch W/B?
