Hustler 2500 60 Inch Deck, 25HP Kohler
I am researching a Hustler Excel 2500 that I am intersted in buying. It has a 60inch deck with the Kohler 25HP motor, but that's about all I know of the machine. Can anyone shed some light on the potential age of the machine? Any known problems/strengths?

Looks like from your picture on the commercial forum, you have a 1997 to 1999 model 2500, due to it having a hydraulic tool bar / edger attachment.
A biggie with that mower was the engine, make sure it has compression and the head gaskets are good. Overall it was a great unit, check bearings and spindles and belts and such. The drive system is bullet proof in that unit. That machine is a very productive unit. If you buy it right, you will be happy. I will see if I can dig up a old spec sheet some where.
