Good call on the cup teeth, the shark teeth suck.

You'll find that your end up trenching more and more main in since you have it, its just so much easier, at least on PVC jobs, to do that.

I was going to ask if you got a new demo unit just to try the trencher because it was so clean.

Does the trencher attachment interfere with the rotowitch? I'd like to get the rotowitch, but I don't want to be swapping attachments all the time.

no it doesn't.... you have to make extra sure now though that you're coming in straight because you obviously cant bend the rods towards the trencher now.

I couldn't live without the rotowitch so I made sure it wouldn't be a problem first

The 410 is a great machine. I've pulled over 260 ft. of 2in. with it. Just make sure that the pipe has a few hours to set up. We glue up our pipe one day in advance, golf course. I would also use a 3 or 3.5in. bullet, try to keep your pull's straight. Our pipe depth is around 18in.

And if you hit a rock take the time to pull it out before going any futher

was trenching a pump line near a seawall off the canal... there was already a trench 2' to my right for other stuff that I was trying to stay clear of.

Apparently water will make dirt mushy and I slid into the other trench... got stuck for at least an hour... had to get some boards and dig myself out of the mud. Lost about a quart of hydraulic fliud I think as it was halfway to being on it's side. Does it take regular hydraulic fluid from the auto parts store? I know it has ten gallons in there so I should be ok.

anyway... wish I would have had my camera. I haven't been that pissed off in a long time. Happened almost a week ago but I am just calm enough now to talk about it.

We just use NAPA hydraulic fluid.

I've nearly put it on its side too, the narrow tire option probably makes it even easier.

Its a lot more stable plowing than trenching.

All of our 410's have the big tires on them , trenching if fine.

I've rolled a LM42 once, huge mess. I had to take out about 2 ft. of soil were it layed at, glof course.

The 410 is definitly more stable with the bigger tires
