The gophers and squirrels in our area would chew through it easily thinking it was a spaghetti dinner. Most of our gopher chews are in the valve boxes and it's the smaller gauge solenoid wire they chew, not the 14 gauge.

Purp, We have both gophers and squirrels up here, and I've never seen them chew up multistrand. Its a pretty thick wire (18 guage and 13 conductors inside)....about the size of Cable TV or phone wire....which oddly enough, doesn't get eaten by them either.
