I don't believe they have ever charged me a $60.00 fee for shipping. Most of the time I have the part the same day, luckily I live near the south store and most of the after market parts come from Medart in Arnold. If they do have to order, it will usually take 3-4 days.

i have just started carring the ferris line before that the nearest one was 50 miles away. i think it is a lack of motivation on ferris part or it may be they like to spread there dealers out. that i like gives me more space.i kicked hustler out the door for putting a dealer 20 miles away from me and scag has three in a 25 mile radius.so far i could not ask for better treatment from my ferris dist.

do you charge shipping for attachments to machines you sell that should be in stock (I.E. bagger)?

Scotts has to pay shipping to get those big items to the store. What do you want them to do?? eat the shipping??? If you ordered plant material for one of your customers and there was a shipping charge wouldn't you charge it back to the customer???

And Scott's is a great dealer and they cater to commercial guys. They stock almost any part you could imagine and if the store you are at doesn't have the part, chances are that one of the other 2 stores has it.

My local dealer has always carried Ferris, Snapper and Simplicity. They can get Ferris but they don't stock it. There's just not as much demand.

There is a great Ferris dealer here, many of the companies that you see are running Ferris riders and walkbehinds. I've got one of them and am very happy with it.

Scotts is where I bought my Ferris in 2000. It only had 139 hours but he took off about $2000 from the new price. I thought I heard that Outdoor on 40 was carrying Ferris now- or was that just Honda?
