Chicago-already seeing grub damage
One of my lawns has grub damage (8-21-06)-is this kind of soon in the year? They did not want grub protection.

We've had it here for sometime, too. It's that time again, and it's going to get worse.

saw it here
a week ago. with the rainfall we've had it is going to be an interesting fall. i can't wait to hear the customers who didn't get grub prevention ask, "what is that brown spot"..."oh, grubs, well i have a lawn care company so my lawn doesn't get brown spots like that". my bad cheap ass, next year i'll pay for yours.

Been seeing them here, in small amounts, for 2 weeks here in CT. Localised hot spots mostly. Should be an interesting year. Stock up on Dylox early!!

few beetles here.
We had another very light beetle season here in southeastern massachusetts, second consecutive season. I expect we will get hit hard next season.
