7001 all the way
This week, finally, went with Redmax EB 7001 after thought and thought over 4 models: Shindaiwa 8510, Stihl br 600, and Redmax 8000, and 7001.
My dealer let me try EB 8000 and I couldn't do it for all day with weight, also price. He said the Stihl 600 is no way in Redmax way!, besides, there are so many 4-mix engines in for repairs in his shop, they have to work out more bugs, so does Shindaiwa new C4. It will be a few years before those 4 mix be perfect. He has like six EB 7001 on the rack, while only one EB 8000, along with special deal on 7001, it is really a proven machine as he said based on customers' feedback and sale. This morning first time on my customers' lawns, whoop, hurricane for real! It makes me wrap up each property with speed that I said to myself why didn' t I get this Redmax as soon as it came out! The BG 85 is now for my own yard use after 4 hard long years of usage, it made great money though but boy, EB 7001 is king. Just update and personal experience with Redmax 7001

I have 3 7001's and they are great. There is a pawn shop here that has 2 EBZ8000's for 299 each. I have been thinking hard on getting one or both.

Can't speak for the new Shindaiwa EB 8510, but I just bought an EB630 and it is plenty powerful. Nothing like a screaming 2-stroke when you need power.

Yeah Dan, I looked at the Redmax too. Looked like the Shinny was just put together better. Plus, the Shindaiwa dealer in my area is great.
Hey lawnboy dan, where in north Florida are you located? I'm on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, about 35 minutes north of Pensacola Florida. Currently watching the Weather Channel for updates on Ernesto.
